The best part of any festival is when you have the crowd clapping, laughing, stomping and dancing to live music. During this year's annual Toronto Ukrainian Festival, DESNA boosted the audience with an hourly dose of 15-min Ukrainian dance lessons. DESNA has made a scene again in California! This time at the city of stars - Los Angeles. On August 21, 2011 We put on a show at the Ukrainian Cultural Centre for the 20th Anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence. Hollywood was a mere 3 U of T campuses away. Although we saw no Ryan Gosling or Johnny Depp in a pirate costume, DESNA enjoyed the windy pacific beach in Malibu at a birthday party with the coolest people from Metro Goldwyn Mayer.
